Headlining this program of personal reflection and musical connections are Mozart’s greatest symphony, the “Jupiter,” and Tchaikovsky’s gorgeous Variations on a Rococo Theme featuring esteemed cellist Hannah Holman. Overture by GRAMMY Award-winning composer Jessie Montgomery opens the concert, and also featured is the Kennedy Center’s Carlos Simon’s piece Fate Now Conquers, which was inspired by an entry in Beethoven’s personal notebook.

This exciting addition to the season will feature the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra Chorus and guest conductor Matthew Harden in a concert dedicated to the late Peter Tiboris. The concert will open with Verdi’s Overture to La Forza del Destino, followed by Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, and conclude with Sir John Rutter’s stunningly beautiful Requiem. All ticket proceeds support the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra Chorus’ performance at Carnegie Hall in May.

Experience the grandeur of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 featuring pianist Fanya Lin, who wowed our audience in 2023, and Sibelius’ Nordic opus, Symphony No. 2, in SSO’s blockbuster Season Finale. Embark on a journey through the captivating soundscape of German-American Ingrid Stölzel’s City Beautiful as it opens the program.

The Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1918 and is the longest continually active community-based professional orchestra in Wisconsin. The Sheboygan Symphony Chorus was founded in 1994, and The Sheboygan Symphony Youth Orchestra was formed in the 1980s.
