Individual Giving

We invite you to Experience the Sheboygan Symphony! The Sheboygan Symphony is an amazing asset to our entire area. We’re sure that you agree that having such a tremendous symphony in Sheboygan makes our area a more attractive place to live, work and raise a family.

It’s important to know that ticket sales represent only 45% of the Symphony’s revenues, meaning that contributions from friends like you must cover the rest. The recently implemented concert sponsorship program has helped increase giving from our local companies. Now we need increased giving from the individuals and families who enjoy and appreciate the high quality, live classical music presentation by talented musicians who are your friends, neighbors and co-workers.

Your tax deductible gift will enable the Symphony to soar to new heights this season and for many years to come. Please consider joining us in support of Sheboygan’s musical treasure ― your Sheboygan Symphony.

Matching Gifts

Many companies match their employees’ gifts to non-profit organizations. A matching gift could increase your annual donation to the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra by as much as 100%. In some cases, companies will match gifts from retired employees or spouses of members from their board of directors. Please contact your human resources department for information on matching gifts.

Thank you for increasing your contribution to the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra through your company's matching gift program. We know that it takes extra effort on your part to help coordinate matching gifts, and we want you to know that your support and the matching donation from your company make a difference.

Gifts of Stock

By transferring stock that has appreciated in value as a gift to Sheboygan Symphony, you may deduct the full market value of the stock without incurring a capital gains tax. If you own stock that is worth less now than when you acquired it, it may be worthwhile from a tax standpoint to sell the shares and donate the proceeds to the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, then declare a capital loss on your income. Please contact the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra at (920) 452-1985, or your investment advisor, regarding a gift of stock.

Honorariums and Memorials

A gift to the Sheboygan Symphony is a unique way to honor the memory of a friend or loved one, to pay a tribute to a ballet fan in your life, or to mark a special occasion. All Honorariums and Memorial Gifts are printed in our program book.

To make a gift in honor or remembrance of someone, please contact the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra at (920) 452-1985.
