Note from Board President

Dorothy Farrell, Board President

We have an exciting season in store! This year, Four Batons will lead the talented SSO musicians as they vie for the position of our next Music Director, and we want your help. At the conclusion of each performance, please complete your evaluation of the candidate that evening. With your input, we will select our new music director who will lead the SSO in the 2010-2011 season. I hope you enjoy the four classical performances directed by our batons this season!

Back by popular demand we will conclude our 91st season with a Broadway musical extravaganza featuring the orchestra and the voices of our Sheboygan Symphony Chorus. The evening will be filled with some of the most memorable show tunes ever, performed by our local musicians and soloists.

In addition to our subscription series we invite you to join us for the traditional performance of Handel's Messiah and our Sheboygan Area Youth Symphony performances. Hear Messiah, performed in its entire splendor, by The Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. The Sheboygan Area Youth Symphony will perform three concerts featuring the talents of Sheboygan area youth, grades 6 to 12.

We, The SSO Board, are committed to providing concerts and educational programs that appeal to adults and children. The support of you, our loyal patrons, our concert sponsors, business donors, foundations, organizations and many, many friends help us to fulfill that commitment. Thank you for your support and enjoy the season!
